Hope you enjoy this week’s recommendations for your weekend Netflix binge.
Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series
This is my favorite show currently airing episodes. It is unbelievably funny and honest. The characters all look like regular people. It is definitely an underdog as far as Emmy’s go, competing with Veep x2 and Silicon Valley. But this is my favorite to win. Only catch is, that instead of Netflixinig this, you’re going to have to catch it on Amazon Prime Video. Sorry kids. It’s worth it though.
Now that we know that Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is coming to our Netflix on November 25th and that Lorelei would like to be friends with Amy Schumer, it is time to get our butts in gear and re-watch the original series.
Before he was Jason Bourne, he was Will Hunting. This is an absolute classic in my mind. Robin William’s performance in this is one of my favorite of all time. It is definitely worth some couch time this weekend. This movie is also so Boston, it warms my little heart when I need a MA fix out here in California.
Stranger Things (2016 -)
My body is ready for a full fledged Winona Ryder revival. Also, Milly Bobby Brown is going to be big. She is the best child actor I’ve seen in years. Her role has nothing to do with her being cute or girly and she slays.
John Mulaney: New in Town (2012)
John Mulaney know’s what’s up. Cancel some plans and enjoy some of the great things on Netflix. Or have some friends over and watch Stranger Things while eating Eggo Waffles together, who am I to judge.
