How to Get Away With Murder (2014 –  )
Nomination: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series – Viola Davis
Davis took home this Emmy last year. Season 2, for which she is now nominated is currently streaming on Netflix.

Television Show

Psych (2006-2014)
Created by: Steve Franks
: James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson

This is a fun little show, a quirky cop procedural. It’s great if you like Sherlock Holmes and pop culture references from the 1980’s.  It also has a great bunch of running gags.

The Painted Veil (2006)
Directed By: John Curran
Written By: Ron Nyswaner (Screenplay) W. Somerset Maugham (novel)
Starring: Naomi Watts, Edward Norton, Liev Schreiber

Great period drama and excellent cinematography. Watts, Norton and Schreiber are lovely. It’s relatively new to Netflix. Definitely worth checking out.

Only on Netflix

Peaky Blinders (2013 – )
Created By: Steven Knight
Starring: Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson

Not really  a Netflix original, but Netflix has the distribution rights, so this is where you’ll catch it. Like last weekend with Master of None (MoN was fantastic), I’m just starting Peaky Blinders I picked it up because I liked Boardwalk Empire.

Comedy Special

Aziz Ansari: Burried Alive (2013)
Written by:Aziz Ansari

Aziz and I feel the same way about children. This is one of my favorite stand up albums.

Happy Friday!
