Netflix & Chill

My recommendations for your weekend Netflix & Chill. Happy Friday!

Shameless (2011-  )
Created by: John Wells, Paul Abbott
Starring: Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy
Network: Showtime

Seasons 1-4 Available on Netflix.
All seasons available if you have Showtime.

Like The OfficeShameless is an adaptation of a BBC show by the same name. It is also on Netflix. This show is brilliant. William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum are amazing. It is definitely a fun show to check out if the only image you have of Rossum is “girl next door”/that chick from Phantom of the Opera. It’s racy and vulgar, but it is an excellent character drama. It’s a fun binge too.

Home (2015)
Written by: Tom J. Astle (screenplay), Matt Ember (screenplay), Adam Rex (book)
Director: Tim Johnson
Starring: Rihanna, Jim Parsons
Dreamworks Animation

This movie is adorable. When you need a relaxing and fun movie this weekend, this would be my pick. Tip is my new favorite animation heroine. Tip gets stuff done. Also, this features Jim Parsons voicing an alien that is basically Sheldon Cooper mixed with Steve Urkle. It is silly and serious, outlandish and relatable. It is totally worth it.

Netflix Original

Master of None (2015-  )
Created by: Aziz Ansari, Alan Yang
Starring: Aziz Ansari, Noël Wells, Lena Waith

This is something I’ve just started. I love Aziz’ stand up and I loved him in Parks & Rec. So I have high hopes. This is what I’ll be binging this weekend.

Comedy Special

Ali Wong: Baby Cobra
Starring: Ali Wong

Learn about the importance of trapping a man with a good job and why feminism is stupid. Also, learn which STDs make you cool.
