Hey guys! Looking for a good movie to watch on this warm summer night? Here are this weeks recommendations for your #ThrowBackThursday!

A League of Their Own (1992)
Story by Kim Wilson and Kelly Candaele
Screenplay by Lowell Ganz and Babloo Mandel
Directed by Penny Marshall

There are a million reasons why this movies is great. Young Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Tom Hanks, Madonna.  Classic lines. See above. Baseball. Girls being badasses.  Sisterhood. Friendship. World War II.  It also, sadly, leaves Netflix at the end of the month, so now is the time. I’ve spent the past 3 days binging on OITNB (I’ll catch you up on my binge this weekend). I need me some pre-Lolly Lori Petty and some time with my favorite Peaches.

Also, here is some trivia, for all the nerds like me.

Also, in real life Geena Davis is a total badass feminist. She founded the Geena Davis Institute on Women in Media, which is awesome. Learn more about that here.
